Local residents say they are ready to fight the City of Greater Geelong’s plan to close three libraries and cut back hours at seven others.

Parents and children joined with Federal Member for Corangamite, Libby Coker MP, and State Member for the Bellarine, Alison Marchant MP, at the Barwon Heads Library on Saturday in response to the council’s announcement.

The councils’ plans were revealed on Friday to close the Barwon Heads Library among others across the region, including Geelong West and Highton.
