Federal Member for Corangamite, Libby Coker, is inviting local sporting clubs, community groups and advocacy organisations to join her for the 2025 Go for Grants Information Session.
Hosted by Ms Coker, the event will be held at Grovedale Neighbourhood House on Wednesday, 16 July at 6pm, and will provide valuable insights and strategies for writing successful grant applications.
Ms Coker said this year’s session builds on the success of last year’s event in Ocean Grove which attracted more than 130 attendees from clubs and groups across the Bellarine, Surf Coast and broader Geelong region.
“There are many grants out there that can help our fantastic sporting clubs, community groups and advocacy bodies upgrade facilities, expand programs and deliver important projects – but knowing how best to apply is key,” Ms Coker said.
“This event is about giving them the tools and confidence to go after the grants that can bring their projects to life.”
Guest speakers will include successful grant recipients and representatives from the City of Greater Geelong, who will share their expertise on crafting compelling grant proposals and navigating the application process.
The evening will feature:
- Q&A Session: An interactive opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification on grant applications.
- Networking: Connect with fellow grant seekers, potential collaborators, stakeholders, and funding agencies.
“The strategies and insights shared on the night will enhance your grant writing skills and increase your chances of securing funding for your projects,” Ms Coker said.
